    Description

    This 8 1/4 X 5 inch 2 page letter was written by A. J. Witherspoon from New Orleans, La to his sister who must be in Augusta, Maine.  As he states he hopes to see her when he goes to visit the General Assembly in Augusta.  Apparently he working to further the interests of the Seamen.  The letter has a lot of water & some light glue stains from being pasted in an album but is otherwise in solid condition. Shipping includes insurance.
